March Newsletter

Another month down and boy the last week has been a doozzy. This photo was taken on the Saturday afternoon at retreat, missing from the photo were our Day visitors, Michelle Winston and Wendy Vagner – OH and of course me the photographer, now we won’t share the photos of me laying in the middle of the road taking this shot…the things we photographers do, ants crawling and all – couldn’t get the auto timer to work. The retreat was awesome and oh so relaxing, it was a quieter one, but it was lovely to see you all so chilled out and just enjoying each other and your time outs. Loads of pages were completed. They all blew me away with our contribution to the Sarah Gladman Memory gifts project – with our completion of 102 pages over the 3 days – compiled and inserted into 5 handmade 8x10 mini albums which we have bound and ready to ship off to Sarah in the coming week. Unfortunately the retreat ended on a bit of a downer, with Mum being shipped out of the kitchen by ambulance with a suspected broken leg. I can now confirm that she did in fact break her Tibia where it connects to the knee. She has undergone surgery, and they have had to use a synthetic graft, metal plate and screws to put her all back together, and we are looking at a long slow recovery plan to getting her home again. At the moment, I have Dad moved in with me, and we are visiting Hornsby Hospital Daily. So I do apologise for the quietness of the site and the store, I am doing my best to get through orders when I can.

Retreat 12 is open for bookings – please get your deposit in ASAP, so we can start preparing well in advance – this May retreat will be the last for 2009.

So, I will stop my sleep deprived ranting, and let you grab yourself a hot cuppa, yes the weather is really showing signs of autumn at last with that slight nip in the air, get comfortable, and get ready to be inspired to create with these fantastic ideas and inspirational works the FA Family have put together for you.
